Over a four-decade practice, Gerry has developed an encyclopedic understanding of high-performance building envelope design and creative construction techniques. He has examined the relationship between design aesthetics, building performance and operational function on such projects as the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at the University Health Network, the BMW North America Training Facility, an addition to the McOdrum Library at Carleton University, the Harvard Art Museum, and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
Since joining a–A in 2012, Gerry has lent his expertise to significant cultural, commercial and residential projects, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto, Canary Commons in the Canary District, and the private gallery and archives of a prominent Canadian collector. Gerry was a Graduate Seminar Leader at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto, and speaks publicly in Canada and the US on the integration of new building technologies, design and architectural preservation.
